quick fish

i'm s'posed to be doing about 80 different things right now, but i have to say:

go see War of the Worlds. it's intense.

even with the Spielbergian cheat at the end. i could totally forgive that. that man knows his aliens.

7 little fish:

The trailer is intense in itself.
The whole fillum is intense in a good way, I take it?

Yay! The original movie was one of the few movies that actually creeped me out (when I was young). I hope its worthy!

It looks rather unsettling which is why it appeals to me. For some reason I like things that scare the piss outta me because there is a chance they could actually happen. Eh, go figure... But you know, I'm glad you took the time to watch it; sometimes it's good to avoid the 'have tos' and focus on the 'want tos'.

the War of the Worlds story has always been a personal favorite of mine; it's so intense & its scope is so wide...i was thrilled that Spielberg was able to visually create all the fundamental ideas within the story.

as for the "original movie", are we talking about the one from the 50's with the amazingly weird special effects where they spend the first half of the film in a ditch?

post-script: i feel it's my duty to issue a minor disclaimer--a lot of people have said they didn't like this film.

i can't understand it, i figure maybe they missed the point? but i feel i should qualify my normally impeccable taste with that proviso.

so if you don't like it, you're not alone, & don't think any less of me, okay?
