sadness in hundred acre wood

rest in peace, tigger & piglet.

the men behind their voices died within days of each other.

I saw this on scifidaily earlier today and was really saddened by it. Both the cartoons and the books that inspired them are so very wonderful, even more so when you are an adult and can appreciate the craftmanship that went into each tale.

The voices chosen for each of these characters was so perfect that they seem to embody all that the character was about. I'm always sad when people like this die as it feels like a part of childhood has passed on.

...and we'll have forgotten their names.

All through the hundred acre woods,
a terrible wailing could be heard.
