when the fish is dreaming

can one follow a fish through a desert?

Afghanistan.

this image is strangely fitting to the feel of this weekend, for reasons too nebulous to describe. striking, no?

& serendipitiously enough, it's a travel blogger's photo.

just had to express that, crystalize a sensibility in some way.

Just a hollow in place of the Buddha...stragely, spaces seem to have a story to tell, too.

laser buddhas are consciousness-expanding, maaaaaaaaan...

but i totally dig on how the in situ aspect can change a figure.

I'm not even a Buddhist (or, maybe I am and I don't know it), but this image hurts me deeply. It feels like a hole in my chest.

the world is filled with holes, but an empty place where buddha stood may be the essence of sadness and of hope - it certainly bears some contemplation

perhaps the cliff, being empty, is yet more full of buddha?
