continuing fish

since i've brought up Judith Miller, the NY Times reporter jailed for refusing to testify in the CIA leak investigation, on the fish before, i thought i'd mention this personal account published on Sunday in the Times, & this article analyzing the whole process thus far.

though you probably need to register to read the articles. it's worth it though, i think, & besides, the Times is a hell of a lot better than the Post, which is what i have for reading material at work...shudder.

3 little fish:

ergh - she bugs me - i mean mad props for the whole not revealing confidential source thing and i'm glad that this case hasn't turned into the free-press nightmare i feared, but Miller bugs me - what reporter doesn't know what her own notes mean (even two years later)? so many stories take years to break, it's ridiculous.

i will shudder with you my dear - there is another thing, perhaps i missed something, but wasn't it Novak who actually publicly revealed the name? why all the attention on Miller?

i guess stories of this nature have to unfold over time, & there's lulls here & there...
she's getting attention because she did jail time in contempt of court or something...
