because i feel like it.

JABBERWOCKY

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
did gyre and gimble in the wabe.
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
the frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the maxome foe he sought-
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood a while in thought.

As in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came.

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack.
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"Has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Lewis Carroll (if you've been living in a hole, & didn't know that already.)

Did the rest of the world get the vodka advert that used the Jabberwock as inspiration. I think it was for Smirnoff ice, or maybe Absolut Vodka. Something like that.

Sheer genius.

I may have told Mysfit, but back in seventh grade, my friends and I wrote a sequel called "Revenge of the Bandersnatch." Sadly, the great work was lost when I moved from that school/area.

i haven't seen it, fence, but then my tv-watching is sporadic at best.
was it definitely a vodka ad?
maybe google can reveal it to us...

jason, tis a great shame that such a powerful work of literature has been lost to time.
do tell, do you remember how the bandersnatch achieved its vengeance?

Definitely? Does the nickname fencesitter tell you anything :)

But I think they used beware the judderman, instead of the Jabberwock
