i almost forgot...

the tourist recently achieved the one-year mark.

i'd forgotten in the haze of all my illnesses, but this means i've had my digicam for one year, in which i have snapped (...hold on...let's see, it resets its counter at 10,000, & it did that in september...plus, er, about 5000 it's up to now...ok) about fifteen thousand photographs in 12 months. give or take.

so many many happy thankses to anyone who's taken the time to visit...to wade through all those band shots & trips to the beach & DC & Colorado & so on, the festivals, the parties, & the arbitrary still-lifes...hopefully i've gotten better over the year, neh?

let the tourists eat cake.

...a continuation of the above. To say you've gotten better would be to imply that your early stuff lacked something and nothing is farther from the truth. Its all good and a visit to the tourist site is ALWAYS an adventure. You never know for sure what you're going to get but you always know you will get something that will stimulate the eye and the mind and get the creative juices going. Its a great site. Its typical of parents of kids on their first birthday to let them smear cake all over their face and hair while they snap multiple pics of them to embarrass them later. I expect similar tourist pics soon. ;)

that's sweet of you carl...it makes me happy to know that people are looking at my take on the way i see the world...really not sure what you mean about the cake (certainly not covering my camera in it, whatever you say!) so i think you'll have to be satisfied with mysfit's fish-eye view up there...
