article linkfish
for those of you who are interested, here is the link to the article from the philly inquirer i mention in the below rant: Proof of an afterlife
i agree with the comment that the reporter did a decent job capturing the friendship and love shown on the blogoshere. i have long held the view that humans are machines of communication, as we are constantly creating new methods to do just this. at the risk of sounding cheesy, i never really thought about the fact that these new methods also open up new ways of experiencing love.
thank you all.
love,

7 little fish:
Wonderful article. And you're right, Mysfit. Perhaps what the internet now offers, and this medium, is a kind of global evolution. SciFi stories talk about telepathy in the future, but is this so different? Perhaps our connections across cultures will be manmade, but no less real.
have you ever read "do anddriods dream of electric sheep?" - it's the book that "Bladerunner" was based on - in the book (not in the movie) there is a religion of empathy where people regularly connect to empathy machines to experience a communion with other people through a shared experience - sometimes technology is diversive... sometimes it's what we do with it that matters :)
btw it's good to "see" you jason evans
ahhh, mysfit, you are BACK! Yeah, missed you. She did it, she got you back to her reality, that little wench! It is amazing this blogging world which I am not even a part of other than my two cents now and than. Cyn/o.m.
cynthia while i love your enthusiasm and i'd love to actually be able to blog regularly, the fish isn't mine... it wasn't jenn's either, it was all three of ours - but with jenn gone and oldben mia (indefinitely, it seems) i have posted a few times, but i am a poor substitute for the energy that coursed through the fish in it's heyday - i was looking through the archives recently and i really miss those days...
so we'll see if i can keep posting
Mysfit, no I haven't read that, but I'm going to make a point of it now. You encouraged me to read Something Wicked This Way Comes, and that has become a favorite. I highly trust your recommendations.
As for this blog, I understand your discomfort in taking forward solo. It would be nice to see you stretching your legs in some other context, though (if you'd like to).
just so you know they rereleased "do androids dream of electric sheep" (by Philip K Dick) under the name "Bladerunner" after the movie came out (a title which makes no sense to the book which calls them simply bounty hunters, but there you have it) - but it really is a good book.
really i need to revive the chaos journals...
To come over to read your thoughts Mysfit about Jenn and relationships and to see a Bladerunner recommendation thrown into the mix has put a smile on my face as big as can be. It almost feels like old times! :)
